Treevoxa provides custom software development services for Australian businesses that want a capable remote engineering team without east-coast agency rates: ERP and CRM systems, SaaS products, web and mobile applications, and APIs. We work remotely, plan for the Australian Privacy Principles from the start, and share a working window with your afternoon.
We have no office in Australia and do not pretend to. What we bring is a team that builds and runs its own software products, quotes in writing, and puts code ownership in the contract.
Custom software development services in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth
Whether you need custom software development services in Melbourne, custom software development services in Brisbane or custom software development services in Perth, our clients do not need us down the road; they need us online when they are. Time zones decide that more than geography:
| City | Time zone | Shared working time |
|---|---|---|
| Perth | AWST (UTC+8), no daylight saving | The most: our morning is your afternoon |
| Brisbane | AEST (UTC+10), no daylight saving | A solid afternoon window |
| Melbourne and Sydney | AEST (UTC+10), AEDT (UTC+11) in summer | Your mid-to-late afternoon, a little shorter in summer |
Whichever city you are in, we fix the overlap in writing: a short stand-up and a review slot in your afternoon, and a written summary waiting at the start of your next day.
What we build for Australian companies
- Business systems: ERP, CRM, HR, inventory and accounting software built around your process. See ERP software development.
- SaaS products, from MVP to billing, tenants and admin. See SaaS product development and MVP development.
- Web and mobile apps: customer portals, dashboards and React Native apps. See mobile app development.
- APIs and integrations with accounting software, payment providers and your existing systems. See API development services.
Proof: RE-ERP, our real estate ERP for developers and property managers, runs installment plans, leasing and double-entry books on a Node.js API with Next.js and React Native front ends. MatrixHR runs HR and payroll on NestJS. Both are live with free trials.
The Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles
The Privacy Act 1988 sets 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). They apply to Australian Government agencies and to most businesses with an annual turnover above A$3 million, plus some smaller businesses such as health service providers. If they apply to you, three of them matter most for a software project:
- APP 8, cross-border disclosure. Our team works outside Australia. Before you disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, APP 8 generally requires you to take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient does not breach the APPs. A written agreement with us is how you take those steps.
- APP 11, security. You must take reasonable steps to protect personal information. We build role-based access, logging and encryption in transit into every system, and keep secrets out of the code.
- The Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. If an eligible data breach happens, you may need to notify the OAIC and affected individuals. Our agreement sets out how fast we tell you about any incident.
Most development work never needs real personal information: we build and test with anonymised or synthetic data wherever we can. This is not legal advice; check how the Act applies to you with your adviser.
Custom software development cost in Australia
Clutch's October 2026 pricing guide lists Australian development companies at $100 to $149 an hour, the same band as Canada, while most development companies on its directory charge $25 to $49. That gap is the main reason Australian businesses work with remote teams. Project cost still depends mostly on scope, integrations and data migration; our custom software development cost guide explains the drivers, and software developer hourly rates compares regions.
Contracts, currency and payment terms in Australia
- Currency. We quote and invoice in US dollars; your bank handles the conversion from Australian dollars.
- Fixed-scope projects are paid per milestone, each tied to working software on a staging site.
- Dedicated developers are billed monthly. See hire dedicated developers.
- GST. How GST applies to services bought from overseas is a question for your accountant; we provide the invoice detail they need.
- Ownership. Code, designs and data are yours once the agreed payments are made.
How an Australian project starts
- Brief: the problem, the users, today's tools and any deadline.
- Discovery call in your afternoon, with the engineers who will build it.
- Written scope, quote and data handling terms, before any code.
- Working software on a staging site early, reviewed every one or two weeks.
