Treevoxa is a custom software development company for UK businesses that need software built properly and on budget: ERP and CRM systems, SaaS products, web and mobile applications, and the APIs that connect them. We work remotely, with your UK GDPR obligations built into how we handle your data, and with a working day that overlaps the whole of your morning.
We do not have a UK office, and we will not imply one. What we offer UK companies is a team that builds and runs its own software products, quotes in writing, and treats your data the way the UK regime expects.
What we build for UK companies
- Business systems: ERP, CRM, HR and payroll, stock and accounting software built around your process. See ERP software development and CRM development services.
- SaaS products, from the first version to billing, tenants and admin tools. See SaaS product development.
- Web and mobile apps: portals, dashboards and React Native apps for iOS and Android. See web application development and mobile app development.
- APIs and integrations with accounting packages, payment providers and your existing systems. See API development services.
Proof you can click through: MatrixHR, our HR and payroll product, runs on NestJS, Next.js and an Expo mobile app; PharmaFlow runs a React point of sale and an online store on the same stock. Both are live with free trials.
A software development company for UK GDPR
If your system holds personal data about UK residents, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply to you, and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is your regulator. In practice that shapes a software project in four ways, and we plan for each from the first week:
- Controller and processor. You decide why and how personal data is used; we process it on your instructions. We sign a written data processing agreement that says what we may do with the data and what we may not.
- International transfers. Our team works outside the UK. If we can access personal data, UK GDPR requires a transfer safeguard. The ICO publishes the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses for this purpose; the safeguard is agreed before we are given access.
- Data minimisation in development. We build and test with anonymised or synthetic data wherever we can, so real personal data rarely needs to leave your environment at all.
- Security and breach handling. Access is role-based and logged, secrets stay out of the code, and the agreement sets out how quickly we tell you about an incident so you can meet your own reporting duties.
This is not legal advice; your data protection lead or solicitor should approve the agreement. It is how we make sure the software and the way we build it do not create a compliance problem for you.
Working hours: your morning is our afternoon
Our working day runs ahead of UK time, so the overlap falls naturally across your morning, in both GMT and BST. A typical week looks like this:
- a short stand-up early in your day, while the whole team is online;
- reviews and decisions before your lunch;
- the build continuing into your afternoon, with a written summary waiting for you the next morning.
Every engagement has one named lead on our side, and the response time for questions outside the overlap is written into the agreement.
Contracts, currency and payment terms for UK companies
- Currency. We quote and invoice in US dollars. Your bank or payment provider handles the conversion from sterling.
- Fixed-scope projects are paid per milestone, each milestone tied to working software you can log in to and test.
- Dedicated developers are billed monthly. See hire dedicated developers for how that model works.
- VAT. How VAT applies to software services bought from outside the UK is a question for your accountant; we provide whatever invoice detail they need.
- Ownership. Code, designs and data are yours once the agreed payments are made, and the contract says when ownership transfers.
Hire dedicated developers in the UK time zone
Many UK companies need capacity, not a one-off project. A dedicated developer or team from Treevoxa works only on your product, in your repository and issue tracker, during the overlap window above. You set the priorities; we handle the people. Python, Node.js, React and React Native engineers are available; see Python development and Node.js development.
What custom software costs for UK companies
Clutch's October 2026 pricing guide puts most software development companies on its directory at $25 to $49 an hour, and shows no single band for the UK in its location table. Our software developer hourly rates page compares regions, and our custom software development cost guide explains what drives a project's price. We quote in writing once the scope is clear.
How a UK project starts
- Brief. The problem, the users, what you use today, and any deadline.
- Discovery call in your morning, with the engineers who will build it.
- Written scope, quote and data processing agreement, before anyone writes code.
- First working version on a staging site within the first cycles, so you can see progress, not just hear about it.
Working with a US parent company or US customers too? See custom software development for US companies.
