Treevoxa is a POS software development company for businesses whose counter does not fit a standard till: stock that must be sold batch by batch, prices that change by customer, an online store that must share the same stock, or a back office you want to own. We build custom point of sale software, and we run our own: PharmaFlow, a pharmacy POS with an online store on the same stock record.
POS software development services we offer
- Counter POS: product search, barcodes, quick keys, cash, card and credit sales, returns and receipts.
- Stock that follows the sale: every sale deducts stock, by batch and expiry where it matters.
- Back office: purchasing, suppliers, price lists, reports and user roles.
- Online store on the same stock, so a sale online and at the counter never sell the same item twice.
- Integrations with payment providers, accounting software, couriers and loyalty schemes.
- Multi-branch: one login, per-branch stock and reports.
Point of sale software development, proven in production
PharmaFlow is the system we point to. At the counter it picks the earliest-expiring batch automatically and prints it on the receipt. The same stock feeds the pharmacy's own online store and the reorder list, with suppliers compared on price before an order is placed. It runs in the browser on a counter PC, a laptop or a tablet, with an Express API on PostgreSQL behind a React point of sale. Our guide to FEFO batch and expiry tracking explains the stock logic.
FitZone Pro adds a smaller POS for gyms: supplement sales with stock, against the member's record.
What makes a POS fast at the counter
- Search that forgives typos and finds a product by name, brand, barcode or code.
- Keyboard first: every common action without the mouse.
- One screen per sale, with the customer, the basket and the payment visible together.
- Receipts that print instantly from the browser to the receipt printer.
- Rules applied by the system, not remembered by the cashier: batch, price list, discount limits.

How a POS project runs
- Watch the counter. We map a real day: peak hours, returns, credit customers, end-of-day cash-up.
- Written scope: screens, stock rules, hardware, integrations, data migration and price.
- Build in short cycles, tested with your real product list.
- Pilot at one counter or branch before rolling out.
- Support under a written agreement.
Engagement models for POS software work
- Fixed scope for a defined POS, paid per milestone.
- Source code plus customisation: buy PharmaFlow with its source code and pay for changes.
- Dedicated developer for a POS that keeps growing. See hire dedicated developers.
What custom POS software costs
A custom POS costs most in stock rules, offline support, hardware and integrations. Starting from PharmaFlow's code removes much of the rest; PharmaFlow's own plans are on the pricing page. Our custom software development cost guide explains how quotes are built. We quote in US dollars, in writing.
Who POS software development is for
- Pharmacies and specialist retailers whose stock must be sold by batch, expiry or serial number.
- Multi-branch chains that need per-branch stock and one view for the owner.
- Businesses with an online store that must share stock with the counter.
- Gyms, clinics and service businesses that sell products alongside memberships or appointments.
What to send us for a POS software quote
How a sale works today, your busiest hour, how you handle returns and credit customers, the hardware at each counter, and the systems the POS must talk to. A sample receipt and an end-of-day report help us scope quickly.
Questions to ask before you hire a POS developer
- Can we see a POS you built that is in use at a counter today?
- How are stock rules such as batches and expiry handled?
- What happens when the internet goes down mid-sale?
- Which hardware have you tested, and how are card payments integrated?
- Who owns the code and the data?
Ask every bidder the same questions, in writing, and compare the answers before you compare the prices.
Working across time zones on POS software projects
We work remotely with a daily overlap window in your working hours, agreed before the project starts. Go-live is scheduled for your quietest trading hours, with the team online.
